Best Book Title, week 1: King Hugo's Huge Ego

This is a new feature I've been looking forward to starting for a while now. As you may know, I volunteer at my local library on Saturday mornings. I started in the children's section, shelving picture books, so that's where I've stayed, out of habit and an acquired taste for colorful art and whimsical characters.
Reshelving picture books is rather mechanical, so one of my games is to pick my favorite title. Some of them are so excellent that I simply want to share them with you.
This week's winner is King Hugo's Huge Ego, by Chris Van Dusen. I enjoy the playful cadence of the title, the way the words fit together. I couldn't stop saying it in my head as I finished shelving. This book is also beautifully illustrated and has a heart-warming story.

Mr. Van Dusen's website is here, where you'll find an interesting FAQ section and more of his delightful pictures.
Let me know what you think of this new feature in the comments, and have a good week!
Yours,
Carrie
